Basketball for Young Players


Rockets junior community sessions introduce children to basketball in a fun, energetic environment. Coaches use games and age-appropriate activities to develop movement, coordination, ball skills, teamwork, respect and fair play whilst working on skill development.
Rockets Programmes – Run in school year!
- Micro Ballers: Reception and Year 1 beginners.
- Rockets Under 8’s & 10’s: school Years 2-5.
- Rockets Under 12’s: school years 6&7.
- Rockets Under 14’s:school years 8&9
- Rockets Under 16’s: school years 10&11

rockets development league
Rockets run a development league for Under 10’s U12’s, U14’s and U16’s, providing regular local affordable competition for players.
Our development league is only for players who attend our weekly training sessions within the community programme. Players are informed about the league details via their coaches.

Rockets have recently launched their wheelchair basketball programme for budding young junior players. No experience needed, and chairs are provided by the club

rockets send juniors
The Rockets SEND sessions provide for players from 8 years old right through to 25 year olds. Sessions are fun and consider the needs of each individual attending. Coaches have a wealth of experience in SEND delivery and work regularly with SEND schools in the area.
