Reading Rockets is a community club with basketball opportunities for children and adults of every experience level. Sessions are welcoming, developmental and designed to help players build skills, confidence, fitness and friendships.
Community Pathways
- Micro and Mini Ballers: fun, age-appropriate basketball for children from Reception through primary school.
- Junior development: progressive coaching and routes into Rockets teams.
- This Girl Can: girls-only beginner and intermediate sessions for ages 8-16.
- SEND: inclusive sessions from age 8; no diagnosis or previous experience required.
- Wheelchair basketball: junior and adult sessions for disabled and non-disabled participants, with chairs provided.
- Adult basketball: social, pay-as-you-go opportunities for beginners and returning players.
- Schools and camps: curriculum programmes, Hoop It Up and school-holiday activity.
