Rockets re-sign shooting guard Keeble
01/09/2016

Joel Keeble, the 22 year old English shooting guard Joel Keeble, returned to Reading yesterday for preseason training. Last time out, the six foot five inch Keeble played more of a part in the latter part of the season and made some big shots down the stretch in many games but the Ipswich born shooting guard is looking to play more of a role this year and has been working hard in the post season on his shot and conditioning. In speaking on his return to the Rockets, Keeble said,
[su_quote]I’m excited to be a part of the organisation for another year. It’s always a blessing to have the Rockets logo on my chest and I can’t wait to be on court with my new team mates this coming season[/su_quote]

Rockets Chairman Gary Johnson is very pleased to bring Keeble back for a third term, and is hoping to see more of the qualities the young shooter can bring to the team. He said,

[su_quote]Joel is a great guy and a true Rocket so we are delighted he is able to come back to us for a third year. I don’t think we saw the best with him last year but we know the talent he has and what he can do. He is still an improving, young English player so he fits what we are looking for here at the Rockets and what my coaching staff will be working with very hard. The team has come together well.[/su_quote]

Rockets are now in the midst of an intensive two week training camp before their now annual pre-season friendly against BBL Championship side Plymouth Raiders. The Berkshire outfit will travel to Devon on Sunday 4th September for a 4pm tip-off and the game is open to any spectators at the home venue of the Raiders, the Plymouth Pavilions.
