Latrell Maitland has signed and committed to John Brown University. He will suit up for the Golden Eagles for the 2021\/2022 season.<\/p>\n
The 6\u20191 guard played incredibly well during his time with the Rockets, playing a key role for both the JMA Rockets and the D1 men\u2019s team. Head Coach Alan Keane has been highly impressed with Latrell\u2019s development whilst with the Rockets. \u2018The most exciting part of Latrell\u2019s development is his ability to control the game, making the right plays at the right time,\u201d Coach Keane said. He went on to say, \u201cLatrell now controls the rhythm of the game so much better, scoring when needed in a variety of ways and getting the ball to the right players in the best spot at the right time. He is a mature player who is incredibly balanced.\u201d<\/p>\n
Latrell is excited for his next step in his career but also grateful for all those at the Rockets:<\/p>\n
\u201cMy Rockets Journey started 4 years ago and my time here has been amazing. I am leaving feeling apart of the Rockets Family and will always remember how much I learnt here from Coach Alan. I cannot wait to see what the future holds, and my next mission at Arkansas!\u201d<\/p>\n
