Reading Rockets (9-7) will be looking to put their three game losing streak behind them this weekend when they take on Bradford Dragons (6-10) on Sunday afternoon, 5pm tip-off at Rivermead Leisure Centre. Rockets succumbed to defeat last time out, suffering a 93-78 loss at the hands of Essex Leopards (10-8) who leapfrogged the Berkshire outfit in the NBL Division One table with the Reading team slipping to seventh with 10 regular season games remaining.<\/p>\n

Rockets Head Coach Alan Keane was disappointed to see his team give up 90+ points for a third consecutive game and highlights that the defensive end is key for the group moving forward. He said,<\/p>\n

\u201cSunday\u2019s loss to Essex was a disappointing result and outcome for us but there were moments of really positive play from and we will take those moments and try to build on them and move forward accordingly. The key thing for us is everyone needs to be accountable to defence and that\u2019s starts with on ball defence and defending the ball together, this is our urgent focus this week and we will look to make steps with this ahead of the visit of a good Bradford team this weekend.”<\/p>\n

Sunday\u2019s meeting will be the second time to two teams have competed this season with the Rockets earning a hard fought victory in Bradford by 95 points to 89 in the reverse fixture. The Reading team won the series last season, beating the Dragons at home 95-74 in league play but losing out in the away fixture 82-67 before securing an 89-78 win the play-off quarter-finals. Sunday\u2019s visitors to Reading are on a difficult run themselves having lost their last five games so something will have to give this weekend between the two sides.<\/p>\n

Rockets go into Sunday\u2019s clash hoping that point guard Adrian O\u2019Sullivan will be able to play some part in this weekend\u2019s match-up. The 25 year old has been out for four weeks with an ankle injury but has begun light training and may be available for Sunday\u2019s game. 16 year old Sam Grant will however remained sidelined but an x-ray revealed no fracture in his injured ankle so the 6\u20197 forward should return to the fold in a few weeks time.<\/p>\n
